Class Parents 2013

Special thanks to the new class parents of 2013. In addition to providing much needed support to our teachers, these volunteers play a pivotal role in the smooth running of our school.

If you have any questions regarding class parents please contact our Class Parent Co-ordinator:

OVERVIEW

Main contact:
These parents are responsible for being the main contact between the class and the school.  They create  contact lists at the beginning of the year and forward notes/information about school events throughout the year.

Social Secretary: It’s all about fun
Beach play dates, social dinners, beer nights... all initiated by class parents and intended to maintain our inclusive and open social atmosphere.

P & C Correspondent:
Establish which parents in your class would like to receive P&C Minutes and after each meeting distribute the minutes.  Also collate and forward ideas and comments from parents who can't make P&C Meetings to the Class Parent Coordinator before each meeting (usually 2/3 a term) who will then raise points at the meeting on behalf of absent parents.

Class coordinator
Help to produce the class artwork for the major fundraiser  (or, more often, unearth the crafty parents in your class!), organise teachers presents, welcome new parents and children who come mid-term, coordinate a stall for firework night.

BPPS Support:
So that we don’t throw anyone in the deep end – for each event there are files and event reports (which we ask each participant to update).  Photocopier etc. is available in the office if needed.
